TARGETED, EFFECTIVE INTERVENTIONS
What is neuropsychology?
Neuropsychology is a specialised branch of psychology that examines the relationship between the brain and behaviour. It bridges neuroscience and psychology to understand how brain structures influence cognitive, emotional, and behavioural processes.
Neuropsychologists assess, diagnose, and plan interventions for individuals affected by neurological or developmental conditions that impact thinking, emotion, and behaviour.
I conduct comprehensive neuropsychological and neurodevelopmental assessments for children, adolescents, and adults, collaborating with professionals such as neurologists, psychiatrists, teachers, and other allied medical specialists.
What to expect
The assessment begins with a detailed developmental and clinical interview (one or two sessions). Formal testing follows and may take 4–6 hours, covering neurocognitive, emotional, social and behavioural domains.
Collateral input from family members, educators, employers or healthcare providers is often included.
After testing, a detailed feedback consultation reviews findings, diagnoses, and a treatment plan, supported by a comprehensive written report.
Recommendations may include:
- Therapeutic interventions
- The design of a programme to improve cognitive functioning and developing a compensatory skills set to address cognitive difficulties
- Family education and guidance
- Multidisciplinary collaboration and progress monitoring between supporting professionals

Neuropsychology provides a deeper understanding of how brain functioning affects emotions, behaviour, and cognition.
It helps identify the root causes of cognitive, behavioural or emotional challenges, thus guiding targeted, effective interventions.
This insight empowers individuals to make informed decisions, build resilience, and work toward meaningful change, and the process delivers an accurate diagnosis and a personalized plan for support and intervention, tailored to the individual’s unique needs.
